Speech contests are a cornerstone of the Toastmasters program. They provide a platform for members to showcase their speaking skills, gain recognition, and receive valuable feedback. Participating in contests helps members push their boundaries, refine their communication abilities, and build confidence. Moreover, these events foster a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition, contributing to personal and professional growth. Here are more details about the contests in District125.

1. During the Toastmaster calendar year, 1st July 2025- 30th June 2026, four (4) number of Speech Contests will be held at Area, Division and District Level.

2. Following are the Speech Contests Types which will be held in District 125 in this calendar year.
   
   1. 1st Cycle (July-Dec 2025)
      • Humorous Speech Contest
      • Evaluation Contest
   2. 2nd Cycle (Jan-June 2026)
      • International Speech Contest
      • Table Topics Contest 

3. Clubs may conduct additional contests based on their interest and availability, but the District will not be supporting any additional contests.

4. Contest Mode for all Area/Division/District Contests is Offline. No Online presence is allowed at Area, Division and District levels. At the club level, Clubs are free to choose the desired contest mode, i.e. Online, Offline or Hybrid.    

5. Selection Criteria:
   • Club level to Area level 
     • The 1st & 2nd place Winners/ Two Highest place available contestants per Club.
   • Area level to Division level
     • Areas in Divisions A,B,D,E – The 1st & 2nd place Winners / Two Highest place available contestants per Area
     • Areas in Divisions C,F: The 1st place Winner/Highest place available contestant per Area.
   • Division level to District level 
     • The 1st place winner/Highest place available contestant per Division
