Greetings from Milind Patwardhan, Your District Director from 1st July 2024

 

First and foremost please join me in thanking the outgoing leaders led by Mayank Naidu, DTM for leading our District last year and taking to the verge of becoming Smedley Distinguished District for the second year in succession. Let’s wait for the good news soon!

 

I feel so honored to be given this opportunity to lead the District in the coming year and pledge to do my best to fulfill your expectations. Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization with its mission – ” We empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders” I assure you that my team and I will keep this mission in our minds as we go about fulfilling our District Mission of ” We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence”.

 

We are in the centenary year of Toastmasters International and 22nd October 2024 will mark the 100th anniversary of its establishment. Let us all work towards making this year a memorable one in all respects – be it in terms of all of us renewing our membership well before 30th September 2024, inviting guests to join Toastmasters, regularly attending meetings, taking roles, and completing projects and levels in Pathways, taking Excom roles, attending the District level events and training, engaging with District social media handles etc.

 

As you do so we will start planning various activities and keep you regularly informed. Please reach out to your Club President or Area Director for any concerns/suggestions. I am just a WhatsApp message away for each one of you.
